The second bottle was reviewed on 03/07/2013.

Appearance: Hazy gold with touches of copper.  Off-white head with ok retention.

Aroma: Banana, clove, brown sugar, and buttery notes.

Taste: Peppery, with a spicy finish.  Buttery mouthfeel.

Overall Impression: It’s been 6 months since the last bottle I opened.  I think the brett is starting to throw some diacytal, as is evidenced by the buttery-ness.  It also seems to be entering a mute phase.  I’d suggest you continue to hold onto this one for a while longer, it needs some time to exit its mute phase and for the brett to uptake some of that diacytal.  I’ll open another bottle in 6 months and see where we’re at.

Availability: Nationally at select retailers.

8.3% ABV
